The second part of the successful book Silent Heart (Prague, 2013). After mapping the history and present of the six religious orders in Bohemia and Moravia, this continuation focuses on the activities of the Knights of Malta, the Templars, the Augustinians, the Carmelites, the Red Star Crusaders, the Merciful Brothers, the Jesuits and the English Virgins. Through texts and impressive photographs, the authors reveal the hidden life of the abolished and restored monasteries. The pages of this book also feature the voice of witnesses persecuted during communist totalitarianism for a different worldview. The strongest, however, are the open testimonies of monks about the spiritual plane of our present, about hope and love, which give it timeless value.
